On the page where we can get info about zone by phone and find out who else is registered, would it be possible to have users listed in such a way that the most recent person to sign up is on top of list? This is the way users with audio profiles are listed, and I find it helpful.

yeah well, to be honest, i can see how it helps with the user profiles, because you can see who has updated there's and just jump to it. as for zone by phone, well, does it really matter?. it's not as if you can click on the name and talk to them direct, so not sure where you are coming from. couldn't you just ask someone if they use zone by phone?. after all, it's a phone service. i don't think it matters weather they signed up 1 day, or 6 months ago. they all have the same privilages, anyway

I think it is a good idea. The list is very long with 300 people if i remember right. It would be easier to see who registered with the phone service if the most recent is on top. At the moment to see if somebody is in the list we have to go through all of them or bring the list of links and keep pressing the first letter of the username which is not convenient in my oppinion.

We don't track when someone registered for the phone service. We could put something on a user's profile page to indicate if they can receive voicemail on Zone BBS by Phone, if that would be helpful.

nikos, you could hit control plus f, and search for a word on the page

I think Chris suggestion is interesting and it could be usefull. Thanks for the advice Dan. To be able to do the search we have to know how a username is spelled. although i have jaws on my computer i only use it for working with sonar. The rest of the time i use supernova by dolphin. It has got a search feature for websites but it is very slow especially in bigg websites like the zone by phone list. So personally i can't use it. But for jaws users i have to say that the find feature is very good and very quick and it even takes you to the place with what you searched.

Chris, I'm not sure if that would be useful, but thanks. I guess my suggestion really doesn't make a lot of sense after all.

Becky it was a grate idea. But sinxe Chris N said they don't keep track of when a user has signed up. I guess it can't be done. It would've helped me caus I would not have to scrool down the list! I like the list caus it tells me which of my friends I can send voice mail too.

I think that putting something either in a person's profile itself, or on the page just under the person's name on the user profile pages would be a good idea. That way, if someone reads a profile they kno if the person can recieve voice mails, just like private messages or email. However, I think it should be a check box though, and then people can either have that feature on or off.

Yeah Liz your idea should work! I for one support it. You should have a check box there. I'd like that.

Two things:

The checkbox is easy, writing the code behind the checkbox is not always so.

Chris, I don't know if I'll ever know enough PHP/Perl to do what is necessary for Zone by Phone. I just know the HTML.
